Went to San Diego for the Rock and Roll Marathon on June 1. We stayed at the Marriott Hotel and Marina which was an amazing hotel. Somehow they ended up not having enough regular rooms so my friend and I ended up in the hospitality suite with THREE balconies. It was AMAZING.

I had never been on the West Coast before and it was everything I could've hoped for.

The only real downside was I only brought one part of sneakers with me. The pair I was going to use while running the marathon. The night before my friend and I decided to try and catch a California sunset. By the time the bus got there and we got to the beach, we had JUST missed it. We were upset but what could you do? We were only there for 4 days so decided to walk on the beach and frolick in the Pacific.

Due to my friends laziness, my sneakers got SOAKED. She made me drop them in the water so my one pair of marathon sneakers got DRENCHED in the Ocean and I was up for two hours trying to try them off with a blow dryer. I was so paranoid that they weren't going to dry by 4am, when I needed to get up and put them on.

Luckily, after more blow drying, they were dry. The day of the marathon was gorgeous. We had beautiful weather and ended up seeing a lot of San Diego.

Good times all around. Though next time I go to California, hopefully it's for a bit longer.
