The queasy tummy.... the butterflies you feel as you enter a new environment for the first time, excited for the adventures ahead but at the same time, a tad bit nervous!
That's how I usually feel when I meet someone new, move to another country halfway across the world, settle into college, or in this case, start a new blog on STA Travelers!
I must admit, I was seduced by STA's initial email promising exciting travel adventures, a fun community and of course, a chance to get exclusive discounts!! But as a college student strapped for cash, trying to make the most out of my budget for every vacation, of course I will jump at any opportunity to get cheap air tickets! I am sure you guys know how hard it is to get on the Blue Ticket sales =S
So here's me! I always find it hard to answer the initial question: Where are you from? ... I shall attempt to give a brief answer for ya:
I was born and raised in Tainan, the historic capital of Taiwan with a population of ~760,000 people. I moved to Singapore, a unique island that's both a capital city and a country when I was 10years old and lived there for the next 8 years.
And now? I am studying Business at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor MI. I am going to be a senior this year, prepared to graduate by 2009! Just between you and me..... I am SCARED TO DEATH for graduation! After this summer's internship, I realized how lucky I am to be a student - hanging out with friends till the wee hours, always having a big group of people eager to try new things around you, NOT having to live the 9-5 lifestyle..... sighhhhh
That's a little bit about myself =) On top of that, my friends will probably tell you that I am outgoing, an overachiever, demanding when I put my mind to something, and that I can be incredibly persuasive at times ;) I am not very good at blogging consistently though.... but having traveled to so many beautiful places, it's time to record my adventures somewhere!!!
What better place than the STA travel community?
