BridgeClimb, Ice Bar and other Sydney things

Awoke at 3am to get to the BridgeClimb. Which I would highly recommend to anyone who goes to Sydney. It gives you a chance to see the harbor and everything else from a view like no other. Going up was more the beautiful. Better the last time! This time I got to see the sun rise up over the harbor and the Opera House. It was so beautiful, like I said there’s no other view like this! Once we got to the summit it started in though. Sadly. The wind was so strong I could fall against it and it would still hold me up. And then the rain came. And it poured down. We were drenched in a matter of seconds. So the walk down was not to fun. But it was part of the experience. Right? By the time we were inside the building again I was as wet as could be. Or damp I should say. They did give us rain pants and a jacket. But my shoes and socks and feet they were pretty wet. (when I got back to the hotel I had to dry them out with the hairdryer.)Had to call a taxi to bring us back to the hotel it was raining so hard. We made it back just in time for breakfast. Met Julie there too and made a deal to head over to Manly for the day. Although me and Rachel had to pack out and move for the day. Sadly. I left my stuff in Maritess and Laura’s room (explain later) and told them I would meet them at 4 for the ice bar and cruise. Me and Rachel left our stuff in the lock up while we headed over to Manly. It was a 20 minute walk to Circular Quay. And then a 45 minute ferry ride to Manly. But a beautiful one, the sun had finally come out. And a ferry ride is the only way to see all of the harbor. Arrived in Manly and had some Macca’s AKA McDonalds. They fry their food there in Vegetable oil and it tastes better. And a small there is like a kids drink here. Anyways, did some shopping in Manly. They have a massive Quicksilver store there, and I love it. Picked up some food and did some people watching. Made it back to the hotel to meet Maritess and Laura at 4 and said goodbye to Rachel until later. She was off to family’s for dinner. I made the walk all the way back down to the Opera House (basically near Circular Quay) with Maritess and Laura. We made it in time the -5* just in time for the 4:30 timing. You can only be in the bar for a half hour because of how cold it is. It was great fun. Everything is made of ice. No joke. Our cups were made out of ice, which we had to hold with two hands. It was beyond cold, the cup that is. It was all worth it though. We made it thur. YAY! But were frozen by the time we got out. After we were done, we headed off to Circular Quay and caught our cruise. It was nice until it started to rain. Got some good photos out of it. And some good history of Sydney. The rain really but a damper on it though. Had to move inside, where I got seasick. Which was not to fun if you ask me. Had some dinner when we made it back to the Quay. And then it was back off to the hotel where I would say goodbye to Laura and Maritess. Sadly. I met Julie and Lisa down in the lobby after, me and Rachel had invited them over for drinks at our new hotel. (did I forget to mention we had to move hotels...ick!) Got back and started the fun. The OC was on and I was disgusted. And told them how it’s really like that in the OC. They laughed. Rachel wasn’t back until 10. But they stayed and had a few more drinks. I had one to many Vodka Cruisers. As they turned my tongue as red as could be. It was fun. Julie locked herself in the bathroom. Drunks just can’t figure out bathroom locks, dontcha know! I did the same thing after her. And we all fell into a laughing craz. After the girls left me and Rachel passed out and called it a night, we had to be up early for our flight to Brisbane.
