When I visit a different country I love interacting with the local kids. They are always really outgoing and intriguided by visitors.
When I visit a non-English speaking country I try to learn a few basic sayings in the local language. Most natives will applaud you for at least trying to speak their language.
When backpacking I always have one roll of toliet paper, a jar of peanut butter, and some bottled water on me. You never know when you'll need these.
