I do my research online, in travel guides, and through friends. It is important to be open-minded and maintain a positive attitude at all times, because your time there is too short to be wasted. I like to take pictures that tell a story, so that people can be where I am when they see my pictures. Finally, it is always good to make friends with locals, and to bring gifts from your home country!
