Stay open-minded and immerse yourselves in other cultures as much as possible. Always have a giant bottle of water on you!

When I visit...thailand i found out by a local that if you book your tour around thailand in a TAT centre then it will save you alot of money!
Do a lot of research before you stay in American hostels....some are...hostel....
Have an open mind and an open heart. Be adventerous! Learn all you can, absorb it all, and always document your travels.
By all means visit the city, but remember to leave the busy centers to view the country sides, a different side to wherever you are visiting. It is often where you find the most preserved traditional culture. So fascinating!
In Japan:
A definite must= If you want to stand on the escalator, stay to the left. If you want to walk, walk on the right side. Courtesy is key here and I love this country for that reason alone.
Don't be afraid to try new foods.
