Always get directions and phone numbers before you go just in case...
Be sure to travel outside of of the urban areas and find the beauty of the natural topography. The true cultures of the country or region are always raw and spectacular in the rural towns.
When I visit...I do preparation work before we travel & update my family. I plan our day trips & dinners. Lunch we eat on the fly... we really enjoy the local eateries!
When traveling over maybe bring a very small pillow and a small blanket... airlines don't have enough time to clean all those blankets and switch pillow cases before you arrive on board.
When I visit Italy, I allow myself as much geloto as I want, even though I'm a health nut. It's just not worth skimping on the delightfully sweet treat!

Study up on where you're headed off to. Little things like which fish are poisonous or which mountain range is higher can be super handy on your trip, and definatley if you get in trouble!
When I visit Amsterdam I don't take hallucinatory drugs from strangers, only from people I know and trust! Haha just kidding, don't take drugs kids, that's my real travel tip!
