I always pack in layers and utilize dark colors. I also pack with ziplock bags to help use the space in my backpack better.
Wear Sandals through the airport and comfortable clothes on the ride. It makes everything easier
When traveling around Europe, try to only bring a carryon because then you do not have to wait to pick up your bags. Remember that your liquids cannot be more than 100 ml, then!
When I visit Mexico I always carry tissues (as not all bathrooms have toilet paper) and hand sanitizer, because most bathrooms dont have soap either.

When I visit make sure I have enough money and spend wisely!!! I definately dont want to go home early because I ran out of money and get stranded in a random City in a random Country.
