Hey Carolyn! I was just wondering how you get to travel so much? Got any tips for saving up? Or any jobs that might help along the way? Thanks and happy traveling! Looks like you have visited some amazing places! I recommend Petra, Jordan. :)

Hey there Carolyn! Im about to embark on a backpacking trip of India and Nepal and was wondering if you had any tips for me. Im a female traveling alone and will play it all by ear for about 3 months.. I fly into new delhi on the 20th. first)while you were touring around was it easy for you to spot places to stay? like inn's or hotels? second) did you get food poisoning? if so from what? thirdly) about how much $$$ would you say it takes to survive for a week there? forth) does monsoon season really make traveling nearly impossible? and finally what were some scams you encountered??
Its awsome to know theres chicks like us roaming around the globe! : ) The reason im headed over there is because I met this other lady on one of my other trips and she had been backpacking around SE Asia for TWO YEARS!!!! and she convinced me to go. Im so stokked-if you have any tips for me it would be awsome. Thanks.....
So I booked my trip to Thailand! I'm doing the "Thailand Unplugged" trip with Intrepid! I'm excited, but I'm also a little scared. I just read in the paper about growing rates of violence/terrorism in Thailand...do you think I should be worried? Any tips on how to stay safe?

I dig your picture. I just left Istanbul last night, and I'm going to miss the place and its people very much!
Well, I am really seriously considering doing the Intrepid Northern Thailand tour. But my friends can't seem to round up the funds to come with me. What do you think about going alone? Is it advisable for me to go on my own, and just meet up with the group tour?

Lol you have a lucky mustard packet?!?! How did I not know that ? :)
I was looking for tickets from Seattle to Milan for this summer to go visit my friends (unless, of course, this whole World Traveler Internship thing works out) but that may not be possible this summer so I am trying to gather some friends or at least one friend who has the will and the means to go to Egypt or Thailand with me this summer. I can only afford one, and I would want to do a tour through STA! I can't decide! I am looking at the Topdeck "Sinai Horizons" tour, and the Intrepid Northern Thailand 2-week trip. I can't choose! : )
Carolyn - I checked out your page after seeing you as a featured expert, and may I just say how wonderful your travels look! You have been to a lot of places that are on the top of my list . I'm currently saving for a Round the World ticket, but it will take me a few summers. How is it that you have done so much traveling?

Thanks so much! I love your main profile picture. Delightful. Safe adventures to you!
hi, my name is caroline...almost the same as yours....i was just reading your stories about the trains in india and the traffic in delhi and the pizza place in varanasi and i miss it so much! i was there last spring for 3 months and it was the most hilarious, more interesting, and happiest time of my life. im actually working for the company that does the marketing for this website so ive been surfing around looking for improvements and things to change. any suggestions?? where are you heading to next? definately want to hear more...had an awesome time!! if you're still in varanasi you should go to hear Khailesh play tabla at assi ghat. if you're facing asi ghat before you turn left to go to that pizza place, you turn right, walk down the street along the water a little bit and his guesthouse is on the right. ask for khailesh. he's so talented and so much fun, and gives great concerts. plus, his daughter is adorable- i taught her to ride her bike! please write back with any suggestionf or this site!
