I’m not much of the adventure sort, but I did have a great time at Auckland’s Sky City Casino! http://100percentpure.wordpress.com/

hi! My name's Lydia and I recently moved to Pasadena from upstate NY. I'm interested in meeting people to share travel stories and maybe an adventure or two! Where have you traveled? I lived in Mexico for a year as an exchange student, studied Mayan ruins in Honduras, toured Costa Rica, learned about tropical birds in the Dominican Republic, saw Niagara Falls 3 times, visited my brother in Germany twice (he's been living there for 13 years!), and sailed from Puerto Vallarta Mexico to Papeete, Tahiti via the Marquesas =) Currently I'm thinking about heading down to New Zealand over winter break... Hope to hear from you soon - I'd love to hear about your travels! ~Lydia =)

Some really cool daytrips to do from Madrid are Segovia and Toledo. Segovia has some of the most impressive and awe-inspiring roman aqueducts. They tower over the city in constant reminder of the ancient people who once ruled Spain. Toledo is a beautiful hillside town nestled in the Spanish countryside. You could spend hours getting lost in the winding medieval streets.

I settled on Madrid. So I don't know if I'll make it to Salamanca afterall, but it sounds like fun there....I'm totally overwhelmed by the awesomeness of Spain! :) Have you been to Zaragoza or Valencia? Basically, I'm looking for somewhere to spend a couple of days between Madrid and Barcelona.

Salamanca is awesome - it's basically a big college town. A big center for education, history, and culture, but especially nightlife! I definitely reccommend spending a day or 2 there!
