About SF- try staying in a hostel, like the Downtown SF hostel. Or look on hostels.com. They are all have AC, and better yet, they are cheap. And once you are done looking at all the touristy stuff, try a 2 or 3 day trip to Yosemite. Definitely worth it, and a lot of hostels in SF can direct you to the right people to make it happen. Good luck!

Indeed! Stirling Castle was fabulous, as was the Wallace Monument. I can't believe his sword was 66 inches long. I'm heading back to Scotchland this Summer. P.S...I adore Topshop, nice ISIC tip!

The next time you're in NYC, check out the Astoria Beer Garden in Queens... it's right off the N,W line and they have Staroprammen (sp?) and it's awesome. I've also found Budweiser (the Czech one, of course!) out and about (Bukowski's here in Boston)... Sadly, no Gambrinus...

Let me just say that I (rather densely) just realized you have not only been loyally following my journey all along, but you've also been leaving lovely comments on many of my blogs. I wish this site sent messages when we get comments! Anyway, thanks so much for the support. Tell me -- how is it that you've explored so many great places thus far?

Francesca! I love yours as well... Didn't we have the best time in Europe and more recently NYC? Hugs-Alex

...and I posted the same thing on your wall twice. That'll teach me not to double-click the submit button.

Hey there! Thanks so much for the message :) I actually had to move the post (it needed some quick editing), and I've re-posted ... could I be a total nerd and ask you to re-post your comment? Just so that STA Travel knows someone has read it already!! And may I just say how beautiful your photos are? You have been some breathtaking places. Well done.

The funny thing is we are leaving from the US to England on the 4th of July. He bet me 50 pounds that I wouldnt wear an American Flag t-shirt when I got off the plain lol.
