For the days of travel, you have from midnight to midnight to use a day. The exception is with overnight trains. If it leaves after 7pm, you can put the day of arrival on your pass, essentially giving you 29 hours of travel time. The cost of the France/Italy for 4 day within 2 months is approximately $217.
