o wow, guanajuato, GTO, is GORGEOUS!!! i LOVE that little city. were you thinking guanajuato, guanajuato, or just somewhere in the state? cuz the capital city is such a cultural great place to live for a student. i loved it - i visited there quite a few times but i actually lived in queretaro, QRO for a year. which is ALSO a great place! much much bigger and more stuff to do - but guanajuato is great in and of itself. queretaro is a clean, relatively safe place to stay - lots of international students (same as guanajuato) and living is Cheap. food is cheap transportation is cheap most services are cheap ( laundry, utilities bills,) and for rent i moved five times and payed from $70 to $350 per month. you can find more expensive...but i doubt for less! so rent is good - and the houses aren't small and compacted like college students live in southern-california. i HIGHLY recommend it! youd LOVE mexico, and especially guanajuato, i know :) let me know if you got any more questions! andrea
