so I know you are heading out alone...i was wondering what your travel plan is....I have been in Germany since September, have done some travel but of course not near enough...and what to head out again, hopefully May!! Where are you all going...have been thinking seriously about join up if that is not too weird...how long are you planning for each city or stop???
Oh Berlin is probably my favorite city in Germany!!! How long are you going to be in the city...I mean hit the basics, Potsdamer Platz, Brandenburg Gate, Reichstag (make sure to go inside and go up into the dome part, awesome view the city), Berliner Dom, Alexanderplatz, Checkpoint Charlie, Gendarnmarkt, Ku'damm, Eastside Gallery....there is also a ton of museums. The city is really easy to walk around and alot of the sights are near each other....also the U-Bahn is pretty easy to use. If you have limited time...do a city bus tour. They tell you so much about the city and you can get off at any point....As for night life, to be honest, I dont really know, all my friends live just outside the city so we never really hit the clubs in the center of the city. The atmosphere in the city is so alive...i just love it!!! How's the German??? hahaha
As for Munich, I live in northern Germany. I have been there a few times. Hofbrauhaus, best Oktoberfest feeling ever!!, Marianplatz, the Olympiapark, and the Allianz Arena where they just played the world cup!!! You should take a day trip to Fuessen and Ludwig's Castle. Really close to Austrian border, could head to Salzburg from there!!! and you are getting into the Alps as well...so the landscape is great!! Oh hope you love it!!! Been backpacking around Europe a few times....best time of life...when are you leaveing???

In Switzerland I was at Lucerne and Brunnen au Lac, both were beautiful. Brunnen is just far enough away from Lucerne to be this relaxed beautiful town, and then Lucerne is about 20 minutes away and of course awesome! Hope you are having an amazing time! Try to catch a swiss folklore dinner- really a great treat!

Uhhh, is it sad to say I am jealous? Well, I am, just a little, or a lot... Switzerland is amazing! Well, first off where are you heading? I have only been to Lucerne and the surrounding areas- and it was brief, yet wonderful. There are green-blue lakes (think island type of water) surrounded by snowcapped mountains (The Alps) and on top of that the people are so warm and welcoming. It's a country so full of culture (different than the US in a lot of ways) and the people are so open to teach and share. While there somehow- whether via hiking, train or gondola get to the top of the Alps- the views are to die for. Try some swiss chocolates (even better when you get them right where they are made!). And I know a lot of people who have skydived there (I didn't have time :/) , but again- apparently an awesome place to do so. Anyhow, give me some more details on where you are going and I'll see if I can come up with some specifics for you! Have fun in London!
