Hi! I am interested in doing some diving while I'm in Egypt. I'll be in Dahab for about 4 days and it's my only opportunity for diving. Do you have any suggestions??

I lived in Mexico for a year as an exchange student, studied Mayan ruins in Honduras, toured Costa Rica, learned about tropical birds in the Dominican Republic, saw Niagara Falls 3 times, visited my brother in Germany twice (he's been living there for 13 years!), and sailed from Puerto Vallarta Mexico to Papeete, Tahiti via the Marquesas =) Currently I'm thinking about heading down to New Zealand over winter break... Thanks for the message!!! Honestly, most of my pics are kind of old. I first went to Egypt on a Study Abroad program in 2001. It was before they stopped allowing cameras in the Museum. So, I got pleanty of pictures without much of a problem. It is a shame that you missed Luxor. When you go back, definately let me know. You can call 800-218-6583 or 800-777-0112 and just ask for me. OK, for some reason I thought you'd been to Thailand. I am getting all confused about who posted what. So, Thailand has diving a-plenty. Ko Phi Phi and Ko Tao are the most reknowned islands for diving. You can do good snorkel trips from Ko Chang. Maybe you could do Thailand *and* Vietnam in one go...that would be cool (you could do that nine-day Intrepid trip that goes from BKK to SGN via Cambodia...how cool would that be?!).
Honduras has really good, cheap diving, too. You could stretch your honeymoon dollars into more luxury there. Panama too.

I, too, was on the Topdeck Fam in November 2006. Katie and Kosta took very good care of us and we had a magnificent time! Make sure you bring a favorite dvd and/or travel game. There are a couple of drive times that you will be thankful for the conversation that they spark! Have a great trip!
