Most of us have not played around with imovie in a long time or ever.... lol I am still used to 2006 version of imovie when you had more control.... oh well. I wish I had Final Cut Pro.... mmm that sweet program which most of the industry uses for movies and such. Nice Video btw!

agreed... i knew i recognized pat from somewhere -- he had the green screen/rap video! your'e right, though... so much more could have been put in with an extra 44 seconds... won't be too old next summer (26), but might not be going on with school then... who knows? it's been a great experience though going through this process, meeting new minds and people, learning imovie (this was a first for me!), etc. etc. as for you - what will you go on to do? another application next year?

looks like you found badams! mad research skillz, son! so nothing yet and it's almost 17hEST. i'm curious to see who they chose so i can have some closure! i'm sure there are many in the same boat!

It is true. I listened to some of Rachels advice and I hope it helps my chances of being selected. Good job on your application video. I watched a whole bunch of videos and am definitely able to watch yours a couple times over. I hope you do get contacted because I want to go up against the best to earn this internship. This opportunity is crazy cool isn’t? Just this whole application process has made motivated me to get out there!

no specs on who was interviewed, just saw one comment from a kid on rachel's myspace. said that he got the notification on or before march 5th... ack! still really diggin your video, man. wish i could reorganize mine after looking at so many others. found out about this contest a bit late and had to rush rush with the process since i'm preparing for so many darn recitals, concerts, and midterms in the next month. and it's my only opportunity to apply since i'm getting old... hah. let's keep our fingers crossed for tomorrow, amigo nuevo!

I forgot to tell you when i first saw the email for the message you sent, I thought it was from STA for the application! My heart dropped for a split second until i realized the true content of the email. Oh what you've put me through! haha

great job as well, pete! lots of great points, and oooh strong interviews... jealous!!!

I'd have to whole-heartedly agree. I'm in the same position- money has a huge limiting factor on the amount of travel i'm able to sustain. In that light, I most likely will be working 24-7 this summer in hopes to venture off in the pursuit of adventure (how cliche', eh?). And yes, Latin American is such a wonderful area that is too often looked over. So much to see, how will we ever do it?!

cool application video!!

You're absolutely right- ASU is just a veritable pool of opportunity for anyone with an interest in pretty much anything. As far as the internship goes- it's all going to be amazing. Whomever wins, I think the most interesting aspect, and possibly the most self-gratifying, will be the Galapagos Island leg. That's truly something most won't have the opportunity to experience. But the travel in itself is going to be a blessing, so any and all parts are going to be out of this world. You? What will you do this summer if you don't land the Internship?
on 3/5/08, mtexeira05 says:
haha, what are the odds. I definitely re-filmed mine last Saturday atop Camelback because my computer crashed during the week and along with it was my video. Tragedy, I know. How do you like ASU?
