Hey there Carolyn! Im about to embark on a backpacking trip of India and Nepal and was wondering if you had any tips for me. Im a female traveling alone and will play it all by ear for about 3 months.. I fly into new delhi on the 20th. first)while you were touring around was it easy for you to spot places to stay? like inn's or hotels? second) did you get food poisoning? if so from what? thirdly) about how much $$$ would you say it takes to survive for a week there? forth) does monsoon season really make traveling nearly impossible? and finally what were some scams you encountered?? Its awsome to know theres chicks like us roaming around the globe! : ) The reason im headed over there is because I met this other lady on one of my other trips and she had been backpacking around SE Asia for TWO YEARS!!!! and she convinced me to go. So I booked my trip to Thailand! I'm doing the "Thailand Unplugged" trip with Intrepid! I'm excited, but I'm also a little scared. I just read in the paper about growing rates of violence/terrorism in Thailand...do you think I should be worried? Any tips on how to stay safe?
