Round stone forts were very popular back in the day in Ireland and other parts of Europe. This one is in the middle of Inis Mor (Gaelic for big island), the largest of the Aran Islands in the Bay of Galway (west side of Ireland). I spent a whole day here riding around on a bike — quite lovely.
